Entry for May 04, 2007 – Structural Research at work

In the continuous effort to strive for excellence and maintain our competitive edge at work, upper management instituted a rigorous research program that encouraged cut-throat competition. The end of each research session was announced to the office by a glorious crashing sound of small wooden blocks on a hard table surface and often loud cries of defeat. This audible announcement was followed by the “prairie dog effect” of many heads popping up out of cubicles all around… wanting to see who just lost.
Josh was the big winner of the afternoon, winning at the 33rd level.

Entry for April 30, 2007 – Large turnout at the Paintball Game

We had 22 players on Saturday, which is almost double most of the past turnouts. After the painfully slow process of everyone getting setup and chronoed, we had a great time. Lots of new faces this time, and I think most everyone had fun.

The first couple of games my team won, but the blue team figured out some tactics and they ran over us the last 3 games.

Entry for April 27, 2007 – Paintball explosion in the house II

It turns out that cheap e-bay paintball grenades have a shelf life of about a week. We split of box of 50 assorted grenades. Judging from the smell, it would seem that one of the vinegar units was the problem. The grenades were all wrapped up and in a cardboard box with stuff sitting on top of it…. Somehow, paint managed to splatter on the floor and wall about 3 foot away. I can’t wait to see when these things go off in the open space!

Adam was walking around the Garden of Eden feeling very lonely, so God asked Adam, “What is wrong with you?” Adam said he didn’t have anyone to talk to. God said he was going to give him a companion and she would be called “woman.”
God said, “This person will cook for you and wash your clothes, she will always agree with every decision you make. She will bear your children and never ask you to get up in the middle of the night to take care of them. She will not nag you, and will always be the first to admit she was wrong when you’ve had a disagreement. She will never have a headache, and will freely give love and compassion whenever needed.”
Adam asked God, “What will this woman cost?”
God said, “An arm and a leg.”
Adam said, “What can I get for just a rib?”

Well, they started off cute… but if you notice in the picture, you will see that the nest has an upper crust of bird shit. This nest is on our front door, on the wreath. There is bird shit all over the wreath and door too. It is a big mess.
