IRS is 150 Years Old

One of the most evil branches of the government is the IRS.  They are about to turn 150, so I thought I would jot down a few notes about the agency.

  • Started by Abraham Lincoln (and the Congress) to pay for Civil War (emergency and temporary tax) in 1862
  • New concept:  We copied a new British system of taxing income, instead of taxing trade and property.
  • Rate started at 3%, quickly went up to 10%
  • Declared unconstitutional in 1894
  • The Socialist Party advocated a graduated income tax in 1887.  (see plank #2 of The Communist Manifesto)
  • The Democratic Party proposed an income tax in its 1908 platform.
  • The 16th Amendment was passed in 1913 (1913 was a terrible year for liberty) asserting the authority of the federal government to tax individual incomes
  • The income tax rate for everyone making less than $453,292/yr (adjusted for inflation) was 1% in 1913. (from Tax Foundation)
  • Rates quickly increased, and reached 94% in some brackets.
  • Today, something like 97% of the federal income taxes paid come from only 50% of the population, 70% of the taxes come from 10% of population, and  37% of the taxes come from 1% of the population. (about 1/2 of US ‘taxpayers’ do not pay any federal income tax) (from NTU)
  • An estimated 22% of the cost of everything we buy (including services), has a hidden ‘IRS tax’ built in.  This cost is what the it takes to comply with the over-complicated tax laws. (from FairTax)
  • The tax law contains 72,536 pages of rules, regulations, and rulings.  (from Cato)
  • Tax law is the number one target of government lobbyist and special-interest groups.
  • Tax law is the most used method of using the force of government to pick winners and losers.
  • The ATF (BATF/BATFE) was born out of the IRS, and has grown to liberty-stomping size as aspiring bureaucrat leaders figured out ways to grow their gangs of thugs in the name of War on Drugs, War on Guns, and the War on Terror.  As far as I can tell, the BATFE focuses on killing innocent people and covering up the truth more than protecting the interests of us citizens.

The Effects of Time + Chance

Darwinist would say I should have a universe of life, but all I found was some busted plastic and alkaline batteries.  Maybe the Aggies are right, we just need more time!

Pictures of Aiden at 10 Months

The baby is growing up! He is already looking more like a boy and wow is he growing fast. Judging from his food intake, he will be about 10 foot tall in another 10 months or so.  He is very good at crawling, stands up while holding on to somethings, is very fast at knocking drinks off of tables, and his favorite pastime is slamming doors.

This is Watergate With 300 Dead People

It hasn’t all come out, yet. The story told here is likely the truth, or very close to it. I thank God that the some of the founders of our country insisted on adding the second amendment. It is one of the few things standing in the way of complete tyranny. I suspect that BO’s regime doesn’t mind lying, cheating, or being accomplice to a few hundred murders if it means they might be given the opportunity for a new gun grab attempt. The only thing stopping them are the brains and the will of their subjects, errr, I mean citizens.

Obama or Romney?

Realistically, Americans are down to the choice of one of the two remaining candidates for POTUS.  Neither are very desirable to me, but for the sake of  argument, lets go through the high points of each.

For Obama:

Obama winning a second term would “drive the economy further into the ditch” and likely cause the wheels to finally come off and cause an actual revolution.  This would result in chaos and likely a completely new government.  There is a chance that the new government would be better than the one we have now.

For Romney:

The rabid liberals will become vocal once again; talking about the atrocities against the Constitution, civil rights, and how bad war is, etc.  and start demanding (once again) we fix these problems.

The clear choice for the greatest probable improvement (or least likely destruction) to the country is Mitt Romney, and it is based on the positive power of rabid liberals!

BO is the “Most Arrogant Man in the World”

This is a pretty good humorous video about BO, especially if you play it while reading the empty suit’s house of cards is falling down, and his lapdog media are starting to call it quits.

History of War in the USA

Not exactly what I learned while in the socialist education system, but here are some things all Americans will be better off knowing and understanding:

  • The Civil War was not about slavery.  It was about Lincoln denying the right of the Southern states to break away from the union.
  • Lincoln’s war of northern aggression turned these united States of America into the United States of America.
  • Support for the US entering WWI was manufactured by those who desired war and profited from it.  (collusion of big business, big government, and big bankers)
  • Socialist dictator Franklin Roosevelt lied to the citizens of the US by running for president on a promise to keep us out of WWII.  He brought the US into the war by agreeing to do the bidding of big bankers.  He also knew the Japanese would attack us and allowed this to occur so public opinion would turn so we could enter the war.
  • The US has been in a constant state of war ever since the Korean war.  None of these wars have been properly authorized by the US legislative branch, as clearly defined is necessary in the US Constitution.   All of these wars are fought to benefit wealthy special interests, never to protect American citizens rights.

And a few more tidbits:

  • Our terrible entangling alliance and love affair with Israel is going to get us involved with more wars in the middle east.  (Iran)
  • War is used to further political agendas at the expense of human lives.
  • War is used to make profits and transfer wealth to those in power.
  • War destroys wealth
  • War destroys families
  • War creates lots of ‘blowback‘, unintended consequences, and new, enraged enemies of the US.

DR Horton Sucks, Part 4

After 10 years, the soil has eroded away enough to expose more of the root flares of the trees.  I happen to notice the wire sticking up through the ground.  Some live trees come with their root balls wrapped in burlap and wire mesh.  It is proper to carefully remove the wire and tease the roots out when it gets transplanted.  The assholes that planted this tree just stuck the whole un-holy mess in the ground and called it done.  This is very damaging to the tree, since all the growth occurs on the outside edge of the trunk and roots.  I can’t believe a landscape company can stay in business doing work like this, and don’t want to believe a home builder can stay in business allowing this level of poor quality work to be done.

Are You a Pet or a Citizen?

Please choose which category you want to be  included in:

  1. Pet – you are guaranteed a ‘good life’: food, shelter, healthcare, birth control, etc.
  2. Citizen – you are free to choose your own path

(note:  Pets do not get the privilege of being part of political decisions)

I can’t take credit for this concept, it came from my very anti-gun co-worker, who I agree with on many things (but not the anti-gun part.  I might actually be OK with living in a society where we have government-controlled cradle-to-grave care for the socialist, as long as we were honest about what we were doing and called it what it is!
