BO is the “Most Arrogant Man in the World”

This is a pretty good humorous video about BO, especially if you play it while reading the empty suit’s house of cards is falling down, and his lapdog media are starting to call it quits.

History of War in the USA

Not exactly what I learned while in the socialist education system, but here are some things all Americans will be better off knowing and understanding:

  • The Civil War was not about slavery.  It was about Lincoln denying the right of the Southern states to break away from the union.
  • Lincoln’s war of northern aggression turned these united States of America into the United States of America.
  • Support for the US entering WWI was manufactured by those who desired war and profited from it.  (collusion of big business, big government, and big bankers)
  • Socialist dictator Franklin Roosevelt lied to the citizens of the US by running for president on a promise to keep us out of WWII.  He brought the US into the war by agreeing to do the bidding of big bankers.  He also knew the Japanese would attack us and allowed this to occur so public opinion would turn so we could enter the war.
  • The US has been in a constant state of war ever since the Korean war.  None of these wars have been properly authorized by the US legislative branch, as clearly defined is necessary in the US Constitution.   All of these wars are fought to benefit wealthy special interests, never to protect American citizens rights.

And a few more tidbits:

  • Our terrible entangling alliance and love affair with Israel is going to get us involved with more wars in the middle east.  (Iran)
  • War is used to further political agendas at the expense of human lives.
  • War is used to make profits and transfer wealth to those in power.
  • War destroys wealth
  • War destroys families
  • War creates lots of ‘blowback‘, unintended consequences, and new, enraged enemies of the US.

DR Horton Sucks, Part 4

After 10 years, the soil has eroded away enough to expose more of the root flares of the trees.  I happen to notice the wire sticking up through the ground.  Some live trees come with their root balls wrapped in burlap and wire mesh.  It is proper to carefully remove the wire and tease the roots out when it gets transplanted.  The assholes that planted this tree just stuck the whole un-holy mess in the ground and called it done.  This is very damaging to the tree, since all the growth occurs on the outside edge of the trunk and roots.  I can’t believe a landscape company can stay in business doing work like this, and don’t want to believe a home builder can stay in business allowing this level of poor quality work to be done.

Are You a Pet or a Citizen?

Please choose which category you want to be  included in:

  1. Pet – you are guaranteed a ‘good life’: food, shelter, healthcare, birth control, etc.
  2. Citizen – you are free to choose your own path

(note:  Pets do not get the privilege of being part of political decisions)

I can’t take credit for this concept, it came from my very anti-gun co-worker, who I agree with on many things (but not the anti-gun part.  I might actually be OK with living in a society where we have government-controlled cradle-to-grave care for the socialist, as long as we were honest about what we were doing and called it what it is!

What It Means to Be A Libertarian

“Conservatives and Liberals are, at some level, the same. They are authoritarians. They both have views on the right way for people to run their lives and they want to impose that on people, whereas libertarians want to let people chose for themselves how to run their lives rather than have government tell people there is one right way to do things”

Conservative, Redefined

There is an effort by the enemies of liberty to redefine the word ‘conservative’.  Many of the sheeple have already bought off on it without thinking.  (but I repeat myself)  Jack Hunter plays some clips of Herman Cain and Rick Santorum to show just how far we’ve come.

JBS Resources

Founded in 1958, the John Birch Society has been dedicated to restoring and preserving freedom under the United States Constitution.  Here are some of the resources I think are most important:

  1. Watch Overview of America
  2. Sign up for JBS email alerts
  3. Sign up for daily headlines from The New American
  4. Use the Voter Index when you hear about a legislator
  5. Join a local JBS chapter

No burglaries came by way of burglar alarms…

I just read some information from the Allen Citizens on Patrol regarding home burglaries:

  • 26 of the 58 homes were entered by way of the backyard

This method of entry accounts for 44% of the burglaries

  • But the biggest surprise I discovered during this research…. None of the 58 burglaries came by way of burglar alarms.

Can we possibly argue that homes with burglar alarms reduce one’s chances of being burglarized?

Temple University completed a survey which found that
homes with burglar alarms, and in conjunction with;
• Signs / stickers around the perimeter of the home
• Increased or improved lighting
• Reinforcing doors and windows

Reduced burglaries by 66%

FairTax

I listened to a pitch for the “Fair Tax” tonight. It is a consumption tax (sales tax) that would replace ALL other federal taxes. I’m convinced taxes on consumption are a much better idea than other forms of taxes in terms of fairness. The idea is that if you want less of something you tax it. We are taxing income and wealth. As a country, do we want citizens increasing or decreasing their income and wealth? Under the FairTax, used items are not taxed, only new items and services. It is interesting to note that everything we buy currently has a hidden tax already built in — 22% of the cost of items go to pay for tax compliance today.

The FairTax has a feature called a prebate. This is money transferred from the Federal government to each legal citizen each month. The amount of the prebate is equal to what taxes cost for poverty-level spending.  If you consume goods at the poverty level of consumption, you wind up paying zero in taxes.

The FairTax is to be collected by the states, under the same system currently being used to collect sales taxes.  This means it could be implemented easily without lots of extra infrastructure or cost.

One of the biggest problems with our current system is that it is used to transfer wealth and allows government to pick who the winners and losers are.  There is a whole industry formed around government lobbiest who work to influence the tax law so their clients receive preferential treatment in terms of tax law.  Under the FairTax, the industry of tax law lobbiest would go away.

The current federal income tax system is clearly broken — unfair, overly complex, and almost impossible for most Americans to understand. But there is a reasonable, bipartisan alternative that is both fair and easy to understand. A system that allows you to keep your whole paycheck and only pay taxes on what you spend.

The FairTax is a national sales tax that treats every person equally and allows American businesses to thrive, while generating the same tax revenue as the current three-million-word-plus word tax code. Under the FairTax, every person living in the United States pays a 23% national sales tax on purchases of new goods and services. This rate is equal to the lowest current income tax bracket (15%) combined with employee payroll taxes (7.65%), both of which will be eliminated.

Jetta TDI ECU Hose

A common problem with these cars is that a little rubber hose inside the ECU housing gets old and splits. I’ve been taking things apart to see if I can find anything that got wet and decided to take the ECU apart to see what mine looked like.

Yes, that little black hose is the one, and the area where the gooey black mess around it is where it is broke! This is likely the cause of my ‘limp mode’ issue I’ve been having. If the engine ever runs again I’ll find out for sure.
