Cajun Math Test
Cajun Math Test
A Cajun man wants a job, but the foreman won’t hire him until he passes a little math test.
Here is your first question, the foreman said. ‘Without using numbers, represent the number 9.’
‘Without numbers?’ The Cajun says, ‘Dat is easy.’ And proceeds to draw three trees.
‘What’s this?’ the boss asks

The Sack Lunches
I put my carry-on in the luggage compartment and sat down in my assigned seat. It was going to be a long flight. ‘I’m glad I have a good book to read. Perhaps I will get a short nap,’ I thought.
Just before take-off, a line of soldiers came down the aisle and filled all the vacant seats, totally surrounding me. I decided to start a conversation. ‘Where are you headed?’ I asked the soldier seated
nearest to me. ‘Chicago – to Great Lakes Base. We’ll be there for two weeks for special training, and then we’re being deployed to Iraq ‘
After flying for about an hour, an announcement was made that sack lunches were available for five dollars. It would be several hours before we reached Chicago, and I quickly decided a lunch would help pass the time. As I reached for my wallet, I overheard soldier ask his buddy if he planned to buy lunch. ‘No, that seems like a lot of money for just a sack lunch. Probably wouldn’t be worth five bucks. I’ll wait till we get to Chicago ‘ His friend agreed.

Twas the night before elections
‘Twas the night before elections
And all through the town
Tempers were flaring
Emotions all up and down!
I, in my bathrobe
With a cat in my lap
Had cut off the TV
Tired of political crap.
When all of a sudden
There arose such a noise
I peered out of my window
Saw Obama and his boys
They had come for my wallet
They wanted my pay
To give to the others
Who had not worked a day!

A NonPartisan Joke
While walking down the street one day a US senator is tragically hit by a truck and dies. His soul arrives in heaven and is met by St. Peter at the entrance.
‘Welcome to heaven,’ says St. Peter. ‘Before you settle in, it seems there is a problem. We seldom see a high official around these parts, you see, so we’re not sure what to do with you.’
‘No problem, just let me in,’ says the senator.
‘Well, I’d like to, but I have orders from higher up. What we’ll do is have you spend one day in hell and one in heaven. Then you can choose where to spend eternity.’
‘Really, I’ve made up my mind. I want to be in heaven,’ says the senator.
‘I’m sorry, but we have our rules, said St Peter.’
And with that, St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to hell. The doors open and he finds himself in the middle of a green golf course. In the distance is a clubhouse and standing in front of it are all his friends and other politicians who had worked with him.

New Obama Ad: Take the Day Off
The picture is getting more and more clear. Brazil has laws that mandate a holiday on voting day, and there is a fine if you fail to vote. On the surface, one might think this is a good policy, as it gets people involved. If you dig deeper, you see that you are forcing higher cost of labor (very similar to higher corporate taxes), lowering production, lowering salaries, etc. Also, shouldn’t there be an intellectual incentive to vote instead of a criminal incentive. Interesting stuff!

ADRL World Final’s
I had complimentary tickets (turns out EVERYONE had free tickets) to see the ADRL drag race finals at the Texas Motorplex. Some of these cars were breaking 200MPH in the 1/8 mile!
