I need to decide which ring and pinion gears to use. (currently have 3.73) I was thinking I wanted 4.30’s, but now I’m considering 4.56. Conventional wisdom says my gas millage will go down, but I’m not convinced of that. These charts don’t take into account the torque converter slippage.
In 3rd gear at 65MPH, there is 500 RPM difference between having the 3.73 gear sand the 4.56 gears.
At 75 MPH, the difference is 750RPM.
If you go with the 4.56 you have a better chance of peeling out. By doing so you will buy tires more frequently. It helps the tire manufactures keep people working. It spreads your wealth. BO should call you and thank you.
On the other hand, 4.56 will be cool period. 4.11 is the best I have ever done. Go for the 4.56.

4.56 will only cause you to wish you had an overdrive unit. For the sake of entertainment (for me), I say, go for it. My cousin says you should do the 4.11 ( or is it 4.10) because he thinks rpm would be too high. Maybe you should send a link to Bo and see what he says.
It is only 500 RPM difference in 4th gear at 75MPH, the engine would be running at 3000 instead of 2500. Hmmmmm
