The “left-right” paradigm is a product of history and coalition politics. There is no real dichotomy between the authoritarians on the “right” and the authoritarians on the “left.”. Both comprise gangs who are convinced they know what’s best for us.
The true dichotomy is between those who believe in voluntary cooperation and those who believe in coercion and force to “make” the world conform to their view of how things ought to be.
