I built a structure to support my “vertical crops” today. I used lumber to stay cheap and designed it so that I can add shade material, bird netting, or even plastic sheets to make a greenhouse if I want. I need to add a few more braces, but it is pretty strong already.

My HOA would crap a mason block if I built something like that in my backyard.
Matt, your HOA is against doing things that are good for the environment and good for your family? How awful!
It does kinda stick up high in the air… luckily, it is shorter than my shed so the sky scape profile hasn’t changed, and I think it will be beautiful with FOOD climbing into the sky this summer.
