It’s The Bankers Fault!

Anonymous released another creepy video.  They are telling us it is the bankers fault.  I don’t really disagree with this, but what I’m more interested in is where this is all going.  The protests on Wall Street don’t seem to involve a large quantity of people.  Lots of armchair quarterbacks are rooting them on, but I have questions like, “will this gain traction?”  Liberals seem to be most exciting about the ‘movement’, because of it’s anti-corporate theme.   (and I have to laugh at facts like this picture points out)  My wish is for what Dan Carlin asked for in his most recent show  — How about all the different groups like the Wall Street protesters and the Tea Partiers stop being pawns of the divisive political tricks and agree on ONE thing — that we demand a government that is beholden to and representative of us (we the people), not the big-money corporations, banks, interest groups, etc.”  Can we stop playing all the BS games and arguing about everything else to agree on this one thing?  (I don’t think so, but it is nice to think positive)

Touch a Truck Car Show

We went to a pretty neat car show this afternoon.  All the vehicles were open and let kids climb in (and honk the horns).  Bryson had lots of fun.  My favorite was playing in the big trucks with range-splitter manual transmissions.

The due-process-free assassination of U.S. citizens is now reality

The due-process-free assassination of U.S. citizens is now reality – Glenn Greenwald – Salon.com.

  • After several unsuccessful efforts to assassinate its own citizen, the U.S. succeeded today
  • the U.S. Government has seized and exercised exactly the power the Fifth Amendment was designed to bar (“No person shall be deprived of life without due process of law”)
  • From an authoritarian perspective, that’s the genius of America’s political culture.  It not only finds way to obliterate the most basic individual liberties designed to safeguard citizens from consummate abuses of power (such as extinguishing the lives of citizens without due process).  It actually gets its citizens to stand up and clap and even celebrate the destruction of those safeguards.
  • What amazes me most whenever I write about this topic is recalling how terribly upset so many Democrats pretended to be when Bush claimed the power merely to detain or even just eavesdrop on American citizens without due process.  Remember all that?  Yet now, here’s Obama claiming the power not to detain or eavesdrop on citizens without due process, but to kill them;

Resilient Neighborhood Presentation

Here is a presentation I put together for my neighbors earlier this spring. It is a broad overview of preparedness meant to spur discussion in a group.

I don’t think anyone I live near is interested in this topic, but maybe it will be useful to someone!

Live Free of Die

In Bill Whittle’s Afterburner video “Live Free or Die”, he goes through the recent crash that happened at Reno Air Races, and the predictable outcry of the statist that followed.  He then gets into something very interesting: “the socialism that you promote so vigorously has probably killed more people than the combat fatalities of all the wars all of humanity has ever experienced, combined”.   The order of things that have killed humans are:

  1. Disease
  2. Socialism
  3. War

“I think the greatest evil in the world is to be given something that entire galaxies of stars don’t have: the give of life, of being alive.  Of weighing and accepting risks in order to see and do things that dead things and living dead people can not or will not do, and therefore do not want you to do either.”

Afterburner: The Truth Is Out There

Bill Whittle talks about truth, socialism, and capitalism.

How many families were shot to death climbing the Berlin wall to escape the horrors of Corporatism for the worker’s paradise in East Germany?

In the GOP debate, Ron Paul again showed he isn’t particularly upset with, or allied with, anyone.

If you were anywhere near Allen this morning you likely heard me yelling at the ‘conservatives’ on the radio morning show as they were bashing and dismissing Ron Paul yet again. They claim he is an isolationist. I don’t think that is accurate, the term military non-interventionist is more accurate.  Anyway, it was pretty funny to hear the crew on WBAP screw up while reading the ‘results’ of yesterdays debate. They were proudly reading the results that Mitt won, until they realized their list wasn’t in numerical order and that Ron Paul actually won.

Fort Worth freshman suspended for comment about gays | wfaa.com Dallas – Fort Worth

Nothing in this news story addressing the principal’s terrible judgement. Seems to me an understanding and agreement to follow the most basic laws that are the foundations of our country would be a requirement to be a school principal in Fort Worth.
