CFLs are NOT better than Incandescent Bulbs!

Saying that CFLs are better than traditional light bulbs is one of the biggest scams and lies of the day! If you want to get all technical and factual about why compact florescent lights are NOT better than incadescent light bulbs, read what Paul Wheaton has published on richsoil.com. On top of that, this is yet another example of big government picking winners and losers, tampering with free markets, going against the will of the people while siding with special interests and big business and making poor decisions that affect us all. Now there is a funny video to go along with it too:

GetMoneyOut.com

Tens of trillions of dollars are being extracted from the United States of America! Democrats are not doing it, Republicans are not doing it, an entire system is doing it. There is a refusal on both the Democrat and Republican side of the isle to acknowledge the mathematical problem. Your Congress is bought. They are incapable of making legislation on healthcare, banking, trade, or taxes because [of blatant corruption].

OK, he is mostly right. But I have to say there has been a few politicians who have come forward with honest plans to deal with the problem. Two of them have the last name Paul. I wish he would have mentioned the words “Federal Reserve” when we was describing the problem, but he got most of it out!

I don’t know anything about this guy as of now, but he makes a lot of sense. The website linked to in the video is GetMoneyOut.com, which is a plan to get the money (the main source of corruption) out of our political system, or at least Congress.

The Electibility of Ron Paul – Part 4

Ron Paul is able to clearly articulate these important concepts even while being scoffed at on  national TV by a big-time establishment media-type.  (I would spontaneously combust under these conditions)  He remains cool and directly answers the questions with great answers.

This is not new to Ron Paul supporters, but watch this main-stream talking head get all crazy about topics that don’t fit well within his establishment-backed peabrain:
Ron Paul on CBS’s Face the Nation 11/21/11

Glenn Greenwald did a great job explaining what is happening here. It is more complicated than just “the mainstream media are idiots”.  It is similar to what I call ‘normalcy bias’, which is active in almost all of us.  (some much more than others!)  The antidote is ‘critical thinking’, or ‘complete thinking’, or just ‘thinking’.  Again, most of us think that we know how to think, but that is just ‘normal’!

Sidewalk of Worms

I don’t think I ever saw anything like this before I moved to Dallas. My guess is the clay soil takes a long time to drain, so the worms start to suffocate quickly. Maybe more organic matter and some hills would help?

The Electibility of Ron Paul – Part 3

Stop listening to the two-headed political monster (shown with advanced speech capabilities in this video) and think for yourself for a change!  Might want to follow the money too.

Kucinich bill seeks to end the Federal Reserve

There is another congressman serving at the federal level who is for Constitutional law, and he is a Democrat from Ohio.  It is Dennis Kucinich.

http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2011/12/01/kucinich-bill-seeks-to-end-the-federal-reserve/

It sure is nice to see someone other than Ron Paul beating the drum of legal money and sane fiscal policy.

Highlights from his video update:

  • The Fed gave almost $8,000,000,000,000 in secret loans to banks and businesses
  • $Millions of this were paid out in bonuses to executives
  • This money was created out of nothing
  • Unlimited resources for the central banks, nothing for the American public (wealth transfer occurs from middle class to ultra-rich through inflation)

Richmond City Audits Local Tea Party After Standoff with Mayor

» Richmond City Audits Local Tea Party After Standoff with Mayor – Big Government.

snippets from the article:

the Richmond Tea Party delivered an invoice for charges incurred in our previous three Tax Day rallies at Kanawha Plaza because Mayor Jones chose to allow Occupy Richmond protesters to convene in the same park for two weeks.

The Mayor not only allowed the Occupiers to break the law, but he visited them in the city-owned park.

at least two Richmond City Council members agreed with our plight. “I guess we’ll be writing a check to the Tea Party people,” said Councilman Bruce W. Tyler, as quoted in the Richmond Times Dispatch. “You can’t treat one group different from the other. It’s unfair.”

Mayor Jones, apparently too busy to listen to his constituents, got up and left before we spoke. He had no problem inviting members of the Occupy group to his office for a closed door meeting days later, at the same time refusing to meet with us.

His administration, however, found the time to send us an audit letter (provided in full below). No need for the city to audit the Occupiers, because, as the Mayor knows, all of their costs were provided by the taxpayers of Richmond

the City and Mayor apparently feel that the Richmond Tea Party has not paid its fair share for use of Kanawha Plaza. We challenged the Mayor’s unequal treatment between groups and he responded with even more unequal treatment.

Dear Left: Corporatism Is Your Fault

I found a good article on the Bleeding Heart Libertarians site today explaining that the problems the moderate left are complaining about were caused by themselves!  (oh, and for the Reagan fanatics, there is a little bonus at the end of the article for you!)

Dear members of the moderate left,

America is suffering from rampant, run-away corporatism and crony capitalism. We are increasingly a plutocracy in which government serves the interests of elite financiers and CEOs at the expense of everyone else.

You know this and you complain loudly about it. But the problem is your fault. You caused this state of affairs. Stop it.

Unlike we libertarianish people, you people actually hold and have been holding significant political power in the US over the past 50 years. What have you done with this power? You’ve greased the corporatist machine every chance you’ve gotten. You’ve made things worse, not better. Our current problems are your fault. You need to stop.

We told you this would happen, but you wouldn’t listen. You complain, rightly, that regulatory agencies are controlled by the very corporations they are supposed to constrain. Well, yeah, we told you that would happen. When you create power—and you people love to create power—the unscrupulous seek to capture that power for their personal benefit. Time and time again, they succeed. We told you that would happen, and we gave you an accurate account of how it would happen.

The full article is at bleedingheartlibertarians.com/2011/11/dear-left-corporatism-is-your-fault/ and gives more details to this simple truth that the possible Jefferson quote speaks to: “A government big enough to give you everything you need, is a government big enough to take away everything that you have….”

Since I don’t see ideological left-wingers being honest enough to admit they are wrong or realistic enough to stop doing what has been proven to fail, and I don’t see libertarianish people rising to power in enough numbers to correct the problem, I’ll continue my current assessment of the situation:  We are all fucked, and the Democrats and Republicans are debating if we should use a thimble or a teaspoon to bail out the water from this massive, sinking ship.
