Memorial Day Reminders

Please remember the cost of the freedoms we enjoy. Many paid the ultimate price. Memorial Day is the time to pause and give thanks to those who fought for what we have.

The Coolest Baggage Merge Ever

Many people may not know this, but I’m some kind of airport baggage conveyor system controls expert. The coolest stuff I’ve done has been with the merges in these systems. Today, after weeks of work and several iterations and ideas, me and the other guys I’ve been working with finally came up with a working solution that combines nearly every merge feature I’ve ever seen in one single place. Here is a video of one of our test runs today:

Dead Mouse

It’s not strange for me to find dead mice, but this one was strange because: 1) he was huge, 2) he was in the yard, not in the garage, and 3) I thought the dogs would be interested, they didn’t want anything to do with it. Strange.

Garden Update May 10, 2009

I could have used another few days to work in the garden this weekend, but that isn’t going to happen. The grape vines are growing vigorously. Lots of fruit. I pruned lots of them, and straightened the vines up.
