“Some liberals acknowledged in recent days that they were willing to accept policies they once would have deplored as long as they were in Mr. Obama’s hands, not Mr. Bush’s.”

The U.S. government General Services Administration (GSA) released the following solicitation request for 7000 select-fire weapons. Notice they indicate these AUTOMATIC firearms are for personal defense, not assault. A select fire 5.56mm firearm (M-16, M4) in the hands of the government is a “personal defense” weapon. The SAME weapon in semi-auto configuration in the hands of the people is an assault weapon.
Seriously, How much more evidence do you need? This is on top of the 1.6 BILLION rounds of ammunition that is NOT legal for use in a war zone. No big deal you say? This is enough ammunition to supply the Afgan and Iraq wars for 30 YEARS.Solicitation Number: HSCEMS-12-R-00011
Agency: Department of Homeland Security
Office: Immigration & Customs EnforcementThis announcement is being placed in accordance with the Federal Acquisition
Regulation (FAR) paragraph 5.207. It is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items; 5.56x45mm NATO, select-fire firearm suitable for personal defense.

As much of a self-defined circus clown Glenn Beck is, he does try to get smarter and does admit when he was wrong. I have lots of respect for him because of that. Here is a great discussion between Beck and Judge Napolitano on libertarianism and more:

From the desk of the Anarcho-Troll:
Something is clear to me…americans are betting on a losing horse. This horse’s track record is dismal, yet most americans insist on betting OUR lives and money on it. This horse is called Washington DC. In all previous races this horse has failed miserably. The Race: The War on Drugs. Laws have been passed, money and lives have been spent and liberties have been forfeited; yet illegal drug trafficking in this country is still one of the most profitable and lucrative ventures in the world. Despite the massive efforts and serious rhetoric from the Hill, our horse has been running behind the pack the whole time. Even if we can claim a marginal success, why is that acceptable? Can we guess at the size of the bet we placed here (money, lives, liberty) to realize a 1% positive return? The Race: Illegal Immigration. Again, laws have been passed, money and lives have been spent and liberties forfeited; the result is 12 million illegal aliens residing in our country. In a wild-assed show of force, a fence was erected along the us-Mexican border…a goddamn fence, people! Today, the horse has decided we need a solution to the existing 12 mil illegals; make them legal. That’s right; give them citizenship! If this is such a great idea, why did we build a fence? The horse loses the race, then changes the conditions of the race and declares itself a winner…and americans are gonna buy it!? Now we enter the race for gun control. Why? Why are we turning to the loser horse to run another race? This self-indulgent nag is a million-to-one longshot, yet most americans are betting OUR asses on it again! Again, money, lives and liberties will be wagered (and lost) and the horse (in this case, a donkey) will not be held accountable.
