Texas HB 568 provides for Texas to start thinking about and making contingency plans in case of a failure in the federal government to provide money to our state.
This seems like a great idea. I don’t think it will cost very much, as it is only a committee making plans. I could lead to exposing large holes in our structure that might need to be dealt with.
As of right now, it doesn’t list any co-sponsors. I suggest contacting your state rep and state senator and see if they will support / sponsor the bill. Seems like a no-brainer to me.
