It has been a pretty sleepy weekend at the Gallimore house this weekend. Although I have a long list of things that need to get done, I’ve been more inclined to sleep late and do nothing all day. Amber hasn’t been feeling well, and Bryson started running a fever last night. Saturday morning, when Amber left to go work out, Bryson asked to watch TV. I took the opportunity to get back in bed while he laid there with me watching Curious George. When I woke up, there was an extra person in bed with us. Amber came home and thought we had a pretty good non-action plan, so she took advantage too.
He started feeling bad last night, but he slept the whole night without waking up. His fever went away when we gave him some Tylenol, and he didn’t have any other symptoms, so we didn’t really know if we should have a doctor look at him. He was happy without his fever, but he was very clingy and whiny when the medicine wore off. He slept on top of me on the couch for an hour this afternoon.
So, on the advice of some knowledgeable experts, we went to the urgent clinic. They diagnosed Bryson with herpangina, which is common virus for kids his age. We just have to let the disease run its course.
Notice his bottom lip puckered out. He did NOT want to open his mouth for.
