After over 4 months of exclusive Linux/GNU usage on my home desktop computer, I finally had to boot my computer with WinDoze to open Outlook and retrieve the Christmas card list we used last year.
For the record, Outlook crashed when I hit “snooze all” for the 100’s of reminders that popped up. After a restart of Outlook, it completely locked up… the whole computer, so I did a hold-power-button-down reset and tried again. When I clicked on shut down, it took 10+ minutes because of all the updates it had to install.
Glad that is over with, and I’m happy to be working away on open-source, non-evil software again!
Wow 10 minutes to load Outlook and only 2 years to load Linux.
I hit a road block last night. I’m having trouble doing a mail merge… I might be forced to go back to Windows to do it… this will be a major battle lost for sure!
