I started getting spam text messages this week. I called AT&T to see what they could do about it. Their solution was to block all text messages, incoming and outgoing. I also noticed they jacked the price up from 10 cents per message to 20 cents per message. What a rip off!
When I asked what else could be done, the customer service lady suggested I text the spammer back and tell them to stop. Hell, I’m pretty sure that is one of the worst ideas I’ve heard in a while. I can’t imagine that AT&T doesn’t have a blacklist or any sort of spam protection. This tells me they honestly don’t care much about providing their customers with the best service, just “good enough service”.
