We went to the doctor for Amber’s 12-week visit. We were able to see the baby move, see its hands and feet, and measured the heartbeat. The baby is 6cm long right now.

Are you going to cheat & learn boy/girl before he/she arrives?
Based on picture, I vote boy.
Based on picture?!? What??? I see a skull, a spine(which looks closed- HOORAY!), umbilicial cord, and some leg bones.
He/she looks terrific!!! Find out, find out….that way Amber can get to shopping! :) Nancy
Jonathan, I am going to have to take Nancy's side on this one. I can't see any parts to determine the sex. Amber said it "felt" like a boy… so whatever that is worth!
There is no way that we are going to wait to find out. I think the next picture at 20 weeks will let us see more.
If she thinks boy, then it probably is. Did she dream it??? I always thought I would have 2 boys and…obviously, you know the outcome. However, I dreamt several times when I was pregnant with Scott that it was a HE.
Also, lots of babies don't let you know….we didn't want to know what Scott was, and in the 3 ultrasounds we had he always was positioned so that you couldn't tell. I have a u/s picture at one point and he literally has his ankles crossed and the goods are hidden! It is so funny, it is like he was determined not to tell us if he was a boy or girl!
I said boy because he has a big head… like his Dad. -JS
