Inspired by my brother’s excellent color-coded custom length Christmas light modification, I made a couple of special extension cords with plugs in just the right places. They really clean up the wiring and save me from having excessive cords rolled up all over the place. Our lights are LED, and each string is made up of two circuits, each circuit has an electronic device and 30 LEDs wired in series. I didn’t feel like trying to figure out how to cut and splice strings to make custom lengths from the lights this year, but that is really the way to go, maybe next year.
