I heard on the news that kids are installing these mosquito ringtones on their cell phone so that old people (like teachers) won’t know when they are receiving text messages. As you grow older, your ability to detect high-pitched tones disappears.
I was skeptical so I tested it out. Evidently, I should be 49 years old now based on my lack of hearing. Click on the link above and let me know how you did.
I’m 33 and I couldn’t hear the 30 and younger tones. Weird.
I tried it again at work with headphones. I can hear the 39 through my right ear, not my left, but nothing higher.
Sucks!
I should also be 49… But, I’m going to blame my crappy headphones. Yeah, I’m sure that is the reason why! :)
