Entry for October 21, 2007 – Concrete Foundation

After several weeks of non-work, I finally poured the concrete for my shed foundation. I went with a service that mixes the concrete on-site, rather than mix it at the factory and just deliver it. This has a few advantages, you only pay for what you need, and you don’t have to deal with too much or too little if your volume calculations were wrong. I used a total of 6 1/2 cubic yards for my little job.

The noise this truck makes is terrific. Check out this video to hear all the pumps, vibrators, screw conveyor, etc in action:

I hope the Collin County tax assessor didn't catch wind of this! Look for higher appraisals next year! (I found out they survey the county annually with a hi-res camera plane).

Hey, thanks for spoiling my glory!

    Did that happen to you?
