Entry for November 25, 2006 – Fraud, Taxes, and Green Potatoes

I found several interesting items in this week’s mail from snopes.com:

1-       If you buy a gift card, don’t buy one from a rack out in the open, buy it from a sales clerk that has had them hidden from the public. http://www.snopes.com/fraud/sales/giftcard.asp

2-       You can take a tax credit when filing 2006 federal taxes to get back money the phone company has been screwing you out of for some time now.  http://www.snopes.com/business/taxes/excise.asp

3-       Don’t eat lots of green potatoes.  http://www.snopes.com/food/ingredient/potato.asp
