Entry for September 23, 2006 – Paintball in the Rain

Eight of us drove up north and played paintball today.  We were able to play several different games.  At one point, we had to stop playing because of the massive amounts of rain pouring down.  Most of us battled fogged lenses all day, making it pretty hard to see what you were doing.  I lost track of time because we were having so much fun.  My team had a hard time getting the objectives, but in the last battle of the game, we were triumphant.

One the way up highway 24, we noticed that DPS officers were out everywhere.  We went over one bridge, and saw a K-9 unit out looking for something, and a guy with a flack jacket labeled “secret service”.  A helicopter was seen also.  We knew something was up, but weren’t sure what it was.  It turns out that the president of Pakistan was going up to the Paris, TX hospital.  From theparisnews.com:

The problem was I was deathly ill; literally I felt like I had been runover by a semi-truck. Jonathan returned home to the house a FEMA declared emergency site, one boy crying over me because I was lying on the living room floor in severe pain.

If I wasn't half-way dead it would of just been semi-annoying that you were gone so long, but given the fact that I literally couldn't do anything but lay on the ground it was pretty bad.

One day, you will understand…..you too will have the opportunity to feel like death warmed over and have to carry-on caring for children. It sucks!

Wow, that will definitely make you eager to have kids, huh? -JS

Jacob's red shirt would make a great case-study on the effectiveness of camouflage.

We made fun of him in the beginning, and I always spotted him first in the trees. However, I think he had more kills than anyone else (I know I took a few painful hits from him). And look how clean his shirt is! So, we all saw him, yet he shot us first. So much for camo…

Also, someone bring him new balls next time. He needs to stop using those illegal balls that inflict incredible pain but don't break upon impact.

No kidding. I can't get over the fact the he was so leathal. I think the red shirt was worn just to tease us because he has the skills and we don't.
