I found a major drawback to my new Yakima roof rack today while trying to find a parking space at the airport. One of the three parking garages at DFW terminal A has only 6-5 of height clearance, instead of 6-10 like the others. It seems the height of my truck is somewhere in-between these two heights.
In case you are keeping score, that makes one carwash I got stuck in (width issue), and now one parking garage (height issue).
Maybe it is time to rethink my “bigger is better” attitude.
